RP Art Works is located near the majestic shoreline of Lake Michigan in beautiful northeastern Wisconsin.
My work with stained glass (Rosaics Gallery) and polymer clay (Tinker Tiles Gallery) can best be described as “modern mosaics,” and often Rosaics artwork has been described as “paintings in glass.”
Speaking of my stained glass art – Rosaics - each piece of stained glass is hand cut and then ground smooth to ensure safe handling of the finished artwork. I grout the entire design once all of the stained glass components are secured firmly to its substructure, and I then hand-paint the grout to complement the design. Each Rosaic is sealed to protect its surface. Surprisingly, these works of art are not as heavy to lift as one might assume, nor are the large art works difficult to mount on a wall; installation takes only minutes and is very easy to accomplish. Easy to follow installation instructions, sturdy wooden mounting brackets, and the hardware for securing the art into the wooden stud beams of a wall are included with every Rosaic that is larger in size than 2 ft. X 2ft. The only tools needed to securely wall-mount a large Rosaic is a level for ensuring that the art work hangs appropriately straight on the wall and a screwdriver or electric screwdriver. Rosaics that are 2 ft. X 2 ft. in size are ready-to-hang. Commissions for Rosaics are welcomed.
RP Art Works also designs and produces traditional leaded stained glass windows and panels, per commission basis.
Tinker Tiles are eye-catching, whimsical, and colorful works of art that never fail to grab the attention of the viewer. Tinker Tiles are just plain fun and all are ready-to-hang.
Maintenance of the “modern mosaics” requires nothing more than a quick swipe with a feather duster or soft, dry cloth, to keep the work looking it’s best. No chemicals, or water, should ever be used to clean the surface of either Rosaics art or Tinker Tiles art.
